Instructions:
Input the percents of Oxygen (o2) and Helium (he) to find the MOD for the gas. Fill in the boxes with the appropriate data to calculate a result. Set a planned depth first, then use the results from the Best Oxygen Mix table to determine your gas mix. Then check the results in the MOD calculator to be sure your mix and your dive are compatible. Finally use your END to calculate your dive on an Air table.
Note: ALL dives that use helium will require staged decompression, regardless of the No Stop Limit.

For the purposes of this chart, the minimum operating depth is calculated at a depth where the partial pressure of oxygen becomes less than .18 (Hypoxic). The maximum operating depth for oxygen is calculated with a MAX partial pressure of 1.40 (so can be slightly deeper if being used solely as a Deco gas (where a 1.6 is permitted). The maximum operating depth for nitrogen has been set when the partial pressure reaches 4.0, however narcosis may occur much earlier, though rarely later, most people will be feeling narcosis way ahead of the 4.0pp. You should use your own personal diving experience to determine the nitrogen MOD's that are right for you and your physiology.
